Fibroblast Plasma Skin Tightening, although a seemingly new advanced skin tightening procedure; it's been in the US since 2011 and all over Europe for several years before. POSH Aesthetics uses the only US FDA Approved Plasma Pen on the market; the Plamere Pen. Assuring the absolute best results each and every time!

SO WHATS ALL THE HYPE?!?

Plasma Skin Tightening, is taking over the market and ranking as one of the most effective skin tightening procedures next to plastic surgery! It is the only treatment on the market that uses Plasma to reduce to volume of excess, tissue, and wrinkles. It is a non-surgical and non-invasive skin rejuvenation procedure that delivers tiny arcs of plasma created by an electrical discharge, "via the plasma pen" which then takes the 4th state of solid matter (your skin), bypasses the liquid state, then sublimates the excess tissue found in the epidermis and turns it to gas. At this point it is evaporating and dissolving the excess tissue and loose skin, causing the skin to contract and tighten. This entire process is called sublimation. This treatment stimulates the Fibroblast cells in the skin, which are the cells that are the most responsible for collagen production in your skin...hence the amazing tightening and plumping your treatment will deliver!

DOES FIBROBLAST HURT?

In all honesty, you will read on many sites that there is no pain associated with Fibroblast. This is true, so long as the technician has properly numbed you. Here at POSH, we use the best topical numbing creams available. Most all of our clients can't even tell the procedure is being performed. Without numbing you would most certainly feel a burning and stinging sensation. But our promise to you is NO DISCOMFORT, even on your most sensitive areas!

HOW LONG DO THE DOTS LAST?

Depending on the size of the area we treat will determine how long the dots or the carbon crusts will remain on the skin. Smaller areas such as the eyes, smile lines or upper lip tend to fall off between 5 and 7 days. Larger areas such as jowls, neck or stomachs tend to be a bit longer...more like 10 to 12 days. This is just because there are more dots that need to fall off. Keep in mind the dots serve as protection to the new skin during the healing process!

WHAT ARE THE KEY FACTORS TO ENSURE THE BEST RESULTS?!?

This is super important! After, care, after care, after care! Other than the procedure itself, after care will be the most important thing to remember to obtain the best results from your Fibroblast treatment. You can find a detailed page of after care instructions here on our website. A few key things to remember:
-
Don't pick the dots, carbon crusts or the scabs. Let them fall off and fade naturally. Picking will cause hyperpigmentation.
-
Do not expose your treated area to the sun, until fully healed. They sun will cause hyperpigmentation.
-
Wear a mineral based SPF throughout and after your procedure, to help prevent hyperpigmentation.
-
Do not sweat or work out until the dots have fallen off. Excessive heat and sweating can cause hyperpigmentation and infection.

WHEN WILL I SEE THE FINAL RESULTS OF MY FIBROBLAST TREATMENT?

Although you may see a immediate tightening and lifting effect of the skin after you have had your Fibroblast procedure, this is due to the sublimation process as well as some swelling that will occur. You can expect to see your final and best results at 8 weeks! Why so long? It is because this treatment stimulates the Fibroblast cells in the skin; repairing and generating new Fibroblast cells doesn't just happen over night, this process will be taking place throughout the next 6-8 weeks!

CAN FIBROBLAST BE SAFELY PERFORMED ON DARKER SKIN TYPES?

Typically no, unfortunately. Fibroblast is best treated on Fitzpatrick skin types 1-4. If you are a Fitzpatrick 5 and tend not to hyperpigment, we can always have you come in and perform a test patch on the skin. Also, darker skin types can more prone to keloid. Causing "trauma" to the skin can trigger keloids to develop.

HOW LONG WILL THE REULTS LAST?

Fibroblast can have lasting effects with that comparable to invasive surgery. Like all cosmetic and surgical procedures, the effects are not entirely permanent as it will not stop the aging process. However, the results obtained can last you for several years. Many things can and will contribute to the length of your results:
-
Genetics
-
Prolonged Sun Exposure
-
Lifestyle, smoking, eating habits, alcohol consumption, exercise

HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE REQUIRED?

The number of treatments needed will vary per individual as well as the area being treated and the desired degree of correction. Typically, you can expect 1 to 2 treatments. It's rare that a 3rd session is ever needed. If multiple treatments are being done, you must wait 8 weeks between.

CAN I WEAR MAKE-UP AFTER A FIBROBLAST TREATMENT?

It is not recommended to wear any make-up to cover the treated area as you will be at risk of infection. Once the dots have fallen off you may safely resume your make-up routine.
