Post Care Instructions for EYELINER
The healing process may vary per individual as well as the results. It’s important to follow these instructions to achieve the best results; however they cannot guarantee results as every persons skin can take and hold pigment differently.
EYELINER | Eyes may be swollen and tender for a few days. This is normal and will dissipate quickly. Itching is also common. Apply an ice pack (protected with a wet barrier/paper towel) for 10 minutes at 30 minute intervals, for the first 24 hours. Sleeping slightly elevated can also reduce any residual swelling of the eyes. The most swelling is usually an issue the morning following your procedure. If your eyes become stuck together, use a damp Q-Tip and gently separate.
DO NOT rub, peel or pick. Keep treated area clean and apply ointment 2 times a day with a clean Q-Tip for 4 days. Do not let your eyeliner become dry during that time..
AVOID | Direct sun, tanning beds, pools, Jacuzzis, and all creams around the eyes.
NO eye-make up for 72 hours after treatment
Eyes heal very well; however, they are exposed to the possibility of secondary infection like conjunctivitis. If ointment presents a problem, please discontinue use and rinse with buffered eyewash and seek medical attention for an antibiotic or steroid eye drop. Eyes are sensitive to pet dander, gardening, dust and dirty hands. Please be mindful of this through your daily activities. Also, sunglasses add wonderful protection to sun.
Eyes like any other tattoo will fade during the healing process and depending on how well your skin takes and holds pigment. A touch up appointment may be needed once healed.
SIGNS & SYMPTOMS OF INFECTION | Include redness, swelling and tenderness above and beyond what is normal. Signs and symptoms that indicate the need to seek immediate medical care include: red streaks going from the procedure site towards the heart, elevated body temperature and purulent drainage.
