  • Results can vary for each individual, but realistically, you can expect to see a smoother surface, zero peach fuzz (until it grows back) and brighter-looking skin immediately after your  appointment. Because you’re removing any and all of your dead skin cells, your skincare products will better penetrate when you apply them, making them all the more effective.

  • Dermaplaning is not to be confused with shaving. There are major differences between the two techniques. It’s easiest to think of Dermaplaning as the more thorough, skin-safe version than shaving. That should be performed by a licensed professional.

  • Contrary to what you’ve been told, Dermaplaning (and shaving) will not make your hair grow back thicker, or darker.  Once your hair begins to grow back, it may feel different because the hair was cut straight across, but it’s actually the same texture as it was before and it will continue to grow at the same speed.

  • Dermaplaning helps to prevent a buildup of dead skin that clogs your pores and hair follicles, which can not only cause pimples but also block your skincare products from penetrating the skin, which is why exfoliation is essential for maintaining an even, healthy glow.
